PQ-01 DIMENSIONAL QUALIFICATION COUPON - v1.2 PUBLIC RELEASE

PURPOSE
PQ-01 is a compact FDM dimensional qualification print intended to characterise a printer / nozzle / material / slicer-profile combination using practical dimensional inspection tools such as a digital caliper.

NOMINAL OVERALL SIZE
140.00 mm x 90.00 mm base
3.00 mm base thickness
18.00 mm maximum overall height (C12 profile cylinder)

FEATURES
- Through-hole bank: 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm nominal diameters
- Internal apertures: 10 x 10 mm and 8 x 14 mm
- External pins: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm nominal diameters; 10 mm high
- Thin walls: 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 mm
- Reference block: 20 x 20 x 10 mm
- Long-span bar: 40 x 7 x 5 mm
- Front-edge Z pads: 1, 2, 4, 6 and 10 mm above the base
- R20 round boss: 20 mm diameter x 10 mm high
- C12 profile cylinder: 12 mm diameter x 15 mm high with controlled lower/mid/upper measurement planes

BASELINE PRINT
- Print at 100% model scale.
- No supports.
- Use the normal production profile you actually want to characterise.
- Do not tune specifically for PQ-01 before the baseline run.
- Do not add special XY/hole compensation merely to make the coupon appear nominal.
- Record printer, nozzle, layer height, material, slicer/profile, nozzle temperature and bed temperature.
- Allow the part to cool fully before measuring.

MEASUREMENT CONTROL
Use DL_PQ01_Measurement_Guide_v1.2.pdf together with PQ01_v1.2_measurement_workbook.xlsx.

P2-P10 and R20: measure X and Y at 5.0 mm above the base top. Repeated readings are independent reseatings at the same plane.
C12: LOWER = 3.0 mm, MID = 7.5 mm and UPPER = 12.0 mm above the base top; measure X and Y at each plane.
Z pads: enter total thickness from coupon underside to pad top; the workbook subtracts measured base thickness.

SMALL-HOLE NOTE
Standard caliper internal jaws are not an ideal bore-metrology method for very small holes. H2-H3.5 measurements are useful as process-screening data, but gauge pins or another suitable bore method are preferred where uncertainty must be reduced.

VALIDATION STATUS
PQ-01 v1.2 has completed first physical validation on three configurations: Bambu Lab X1C 0.4 mm nozzle, Bambu Lab H2D 0.4 mm nozzle, and Bambu Lab H2D 0.2 mm nozzle, all using the recorded 0.20 mm layer-height test condition. The measured dataset and engineering analysis are published at:
https://tools.dlengineering.co.uk/guides/bambu-x1c-vs-h2d-dimensional-accuracy/

The nominal CAD geometry remains neutral: it has not been altered to compensate for any one printer or profile.
